We are finally back from Europe and I finally have the chance to update you on what’s been going on in our lives! I am so excited to post pictures from our travels over the next couple of weeks but first I wanted to catch you up on something that happened before our trip.
A few months ago, JORD contacted me about partnering up with them for their spring campaign and I was so excited. I have seen JORD watches all over social media and thought that both the products and the company were super interesting. JORD makes all of their watches out of natural woods which makes them really unique and special. I’m not sure how many of you know this but my brother is a wood worker and creates the most beautiful pieces so I over the last few years I have really learned to appreciate the craftsmanship and effort that is associated with a watch like this.
Sam is really into watches so I wanted to pick a watch for him and surprise him with it before the trip. We talked for literally months about what we were going to pack and what items were the smartest to bring. Since we would be traveling to multiple cities we decided to bring just carry-on’s for a 2 week trip which sounded insane at first. But I kept hearing over and over that when packing for a trip like this you should just stick to the basics. Sam kept telling me that the last thing I want to be doing when walking through a European city was to be carrying a 50 pound bag of luggage and he was so right! The challenge this creates is that you have to be really selective when thinking of pieces to bring. If you will only be able to wear something once or even twice, it’s not worth bringing. Sam had mentioned wanting to take a watch that would go with everything and I agreed. Since part of our trip was for business it was important to bring something like a nice watch that could instantly elevate any of his “every day outfits” and could still be paired with the suit he was bringing.
With that in mind, I browsed through the JORD website and chose the Dover series watch with Koa wood. I chose Koa because not only did I think it was beautiful but also because Koa wood is native to Hawaii and we have such good memories from Hawaii last summer. When I received the watch in the mail I could not believe how gorgeous it was in person. Plus the packaging was out of this world and I am such a sucker for good packaging.
The watch comes inside of a beautiful wooden box that you can store the watch in. I was so impressed with the quality of even the box which I think says a lot about JORD in general. You can tell every decision they make is well thought out and executed.
One of the coolest things about the Dover series is that you can see through the face of the watch which allows you to look at it from either side and watch all the gears move and tick. It is so incredibly beautiful, I seriously can’t say that enough! Once Sam saw the watch he couldn’t wait to wear it.
Now for some REALLY exciting news. JORD and I have teamed up to give away a $100 e-gift code to one of my followers, all you have to do is click on this link and fill out some basic info like your name and email. Even more exciting, every single person who enters the contest will win a $25 discount that you can use to buy your own JORD watch. You can check out their website here to see all of the different styles they have and pick out your favorite. If you like the Dover series watch that I picked out, you can find that exact watch here. I am going to include some photos from our trip below and give y’all a little sneak peak of our European adventure. We had such a blast and I can’t wait to share more of the photos with you.
Happy Friday : )
