Loving Lately 1.10.16

Happy Sunday : )

It’s been so long since I have connected with y’all and I am so excited to share some goodies from the last few weeks. Now that the Holidays are over I should be back to posting every Sunday, as well as my regular posts on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays!

I was SO happy to be able to go home for the Holidays. I feel like every year life gets busier and busier. Even though I always start the year off with hopes to go home a few times, it rarely happens. That being said, Sam and I both took a week off work and drove to good ol Massachusetts to stay with my parents for Christmas and it was just what the doctor ordered. Lots of good food (too much), fun times with family & friends and some much needed time off!!

My childhood home is seriously magical at Christmas. My mom decorates the house so beautifully and she hosts not one but TWO Christmas parties. One on Christmas Eve and then another on Christmas day. She is a rockstar. Here are some pictures I got before the chaos started!!

There is nothing better than a beautifully wrapped present <3

Like all of my trips home, this one was too short!! I wish I had more time to spend with friends and family but it was back to reality for Sam and I. We headed back to Chicago for New Years and one of my best friends from college actually flew in from San Francisco to celebrate with us! We had a really low-key New Years Eve and just hopped around between a few house parties but it was perfect. Here is a picture of us that I stole from snapchat!!

It was so nice having Maria here and she totally fell in love with Chicago (I feel you girl!!). It had been years since we had really gotten a chance to chat and catch up. I felt so blessed the past few weeks to be surrounded by so much love. Although the holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year for that reason, it also reminds me that a lot of people don’t have those kinds of memories during the holidays. As I get older I find myself so appreciative of my parents, family and friends. I am so grateful to have so many people that love and support me on a daily basis. I hope your holidays were filled with love and that you are entering into the year recharged and ready to tackle 2016!!
