There are few things in life that are better than jumping into a bed at a fancy hotel. There is just something special about it. The beds are always so fluffy and all the sheets and blankets are laid out so beautifully. It is probably one of my favorite parts of staying at a hotel. I always feel so glamorous laying in a big beautiful bed, and don’t even get me started on the robes! Isn’t it just the best?!
When I think about trying to recreate that feeling in my own bedroom, it always leads me to white bedding. White bedding is simple and luxurious all at the same time. It’s clean, crisp and sophisticated. It’s also remarkably comforting, warm and inviting. Win, win, WIN. I have had white bedding for the past few years and I don’t see myself changing it up anytime soon. And for all the naysayers out there that talk about how it must be impossible to keep white bedding clean, it’s not. I find that white is actually the easiest color to keep clean. I keep mine fresh and crisp by adding a big ol cap full of bleach when I wash them and they come out looking brand new every time.
Getting this look doesn’t have to be crazy expensive either! Sam and I got a white comforter from Ikea and love how clean and simple it is. Best part, it was $70. You can find that comforter here ! You could also just get a white duvet cover and slip it over your current comforter.
Sticking to white bedding doesn’t have to mean your room will be lacking in style either! Check out some of the rooms below for inspiration. By adding accessories and playing with texture you can transform white bedding to give your room the vibe you are going for. I also love the idea of white bedding with a colorful trim or layering different textures of white bedding to add some interest.
Don’t these beds make you want to just jump right in!? I know it has been taking me a lot longer to get out of bed in the morning with this cold weather and I know I can’t be the only one! Your bed should be one of your favorite places in your home. Go the extra step to make it comfortable and beautiful so you start the day off by waking up somewhere that you love and that makes you happy!
